STEVEN BREEN

Steve currently serves at Managing Director of Strategic Initiatives & Technology at Altaira Strategic Partners where he is responsible for managing client relationships and driving technology platform enhancements. He has successfully designed and implemented large-scale operating platforms, infrastructure, and services at several complex asset managers throughout his career. Steve previously served as Chief Technology Officer and Partner at Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers LLC, where he transformed the firm's technology ecosystem, including architecting scalable application platforms, centralizing data architecture, and driving automation. He also established an AI Lab and implemented a comprehensive information security framework to meet regulatory and client standards. Prior to Weiss, Steve served as Chief Information Officer and Head of Operations at Pequot Capital Management for both the hedge fund and private equity businesses. Earlier, he was Deputy Chief Information Officer at Deutsche Asset Management, leading technology for their $600 billion asset management business. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Public Accounting from Bryant University and is FINRA Series 99 registered.
